Firm Profile

When I began law school, I did not know where my interests and passions would lead me. I had waited for ten years after earning my undergraduate degree before choosing to attend law school. As the son of a law professor and the brother to two sisters who were practicing attorneys, I needed to establish my identity on my own terms and define myself outside the law before I could embrace it as my own career decision. During that time I worked odd jobs, earned a Master’s degree in Literature, and supported my wife, Amy, as she established her own career through a number of moves across the country. We returned to Boston so that I could attend Northeastern University School of Law, a program that perfectly blends a traditional legal education with an experiential, collaborative, cooperative, and socially aware one. These emphases and approaches to the practice of law have prepared me and The Law Office of Edward D. Occhialino to represent you and defend the charges brought against you.

I stand firm in the belief that every person accused of a crime is innocent, truly innocent, until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. What does that mean? That means that the prosecution needs to prove its case against you – every element of the crime – and I am going to make them do that. The Law Office of Edward D. Occhialino will stand by you every step of the way as you fight to maintain your good name, your money, and your liberty. I will believe in you, advocate for you, negotiate in your best interests, advise you, and always listen to you. I will also tell you the truth. No sugar-coating. If the case against you is particularly strong, I will tell you and advise you from there as to your options. I cannot guarantee you will beat the case against you, but we do guarantee that at the end of the day I will have done everything I can for you and represented your best interests from the beginning to the end.

I am dedicated to my clients at The Law Office of Edward D. Occhialino. I listen to you. I support you. I work for you and devote myself to defending you. The strategies I employ are ones with your best interest in mind. I will respect your opinion and listen to you. Ultimately, you are the one who makes the decisions – but they will be decisions informed by my knowledge of, and dedication to, the law. The law says you are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I promise that I will fight to ensure that standard.
